Triple Crown winner ???

142nd Running of the Belmont Stakes
Less than 10 days till post time. There’s still time to use what ever method you chose to make your Super Trifecta picks and secure your bets. I would really like to see a Triple Crown winner. Can “I’ll Have Another”, do it? I have watched the Derby and the Preakness both and replay of both races. This horse really puts the pressure on in the last few lengths wins. What I don’t see is the extra distance between his win and the 2nd place horse. So it concerns me, I will be watching and deep down I will be rooting for the horse to win. So as I continue hiding behind my cold beverage rooting Doug O’Neill and “I’ll Have Another” to a victory, I will be placing my bet. I liked Dullahan in the Kentucky Derby and I believe these will be the only two horses to contend for the win at Belmont on the 9th.  Dullahan showed a strong finish in the Derby, and then did not run in the Preakness. I believe this horse has what it takes to do the extra distance. I think with the time off did it some good, and the breezing times look like the horse is still strong.

Product review FrogLube

FrogLube by CLP
I recently purchased a small jar of FrogLube in a paste form. I was satisfied with the products that I have been using the past 5 years. Let me also add that I have had no problem with it. However I had been reading such great reviews on FrogLube, I decided to give it a try. Now before anyone ask or says it, I paid for this product. This was not a sample comp to me for the review. If you are not familiar with the product it comes in bottles or in jars. According to the manufacturers (CLP) it is all natural product—Non toxic and Environmentally Green.  It is also Green in color. Now I personally like the smell of Hoppes and Ballistol and Gun oil in general. I do believe the smell of FrogLube is quite pleasant and should not offend the women in your life. So I disassembled my 1911 and began rubbing it down. I generally just run a Bore Snake thru it and throw some lube in it after shooting. I don’t normally strip it down but a couple times a year. Maybe I should. So I now have some brushes and the cleaning solvent out, to scrub it down. Then I begin applying a coat of FrogLube.  After wiping down the excess, I notice the patch is black. So I rubbed a little more on it. I then wiped it off again removing more carbon film from the parts. This time I was more aggressive. Finally satisfied that my gun was clean I applied a thin coat and reassembled it.  I decided I would run a test on it till this time next year and periodically report back. I think I will also strip a pair of stainless revolvers I use for Cowboy Action Shooting down and see how it cleans them up. These have a nice carbon build up on the cylinders.  These guns would probably be a better test but since I already cleaned up the 1911, I will stick with it. If you had some experience with this product please feel free to leave me a comment below or hit me on Twitter with it. Watch for updates.

Frachitti wins at Indy Kahne wins at Charlotte

Dario Frachitti wins 3rd Indy 500. Frachitti passed Tacuma Sako, in the last lap of the race, to win the checkered flag.  Congratulations to him on his victory.

Kasey Kahne took his third victory at Charlotte winning the Coca Cola 600.  NASCAR longest race. Congratulations to Kasey and the Hendricks racing Team for the win.

Also a congratulations to Danica Patrick for her third finish running. I don’t care what Yeti says you are still the Queen of the Jumpsuit.

Hot Summer Time

I have some weekend gunsmithing to do. This will occupy my time off. For those of you like myself who won't be heading to the beach. Here is what we will be missing.

Have a Badass Weekend

Long live the KING! Almirola gets the pole at Charlotte

The most Iconic of the NASCAR car numbers is 43 not 3 . Sorry, Keith Ledger wasn't the greatest "Joker" either.  After a long dry spell for the Richard Petty racing team with Driver Aric Almirola win the Pole for the Coca a Cola 600. With a lap at speeds at 192.+ and 191+ mph, wins the number 43 Ford (Petty racing team) its 122nd Pole. BTW the King himself won a 112 of those pole positions. Jimmie Johnson with 2 back to back wins takes 3rd and the ever beautiful Danica way back, to the 43 position.

Missouri Marshal

Then on the lighter side

The Secret Service  Director issued new rules of conduct for agents Friday.  They can no longer get drunk, procure hookers or go to strip bars.  The rules say that from now on, if agents feel compelled to engage in such behavior, they can run for public office like everyone else.

Enjoy the Beautiful Ash and her F2000

Lots of rain here in Northern Virginia the past 24 hours. Rescue squads in the area have been doing fast water rescues. There has been many weather related accidents. I don't have anything better to do till it dries out some. I will be watching some videos. I am sharing this one because I like the way Justin puts his videos together. Then of course Ash is very easy on the eyes.  Hope you all enjoy and thumbs up or subscribe to their channel

Another rainy Monday

Too wet for the range or work out side. Not to wet to enjoy some fishing though. Looks like a wet week ahead.
